Hey guys...I'll tell you a little bit about my good old self...my name
is Rori, I live in Roslyn, Long Island (Suburbia Hell, USA)...Smit to my friends (i don't know how this nickname has any relevence
but that's Catallo's little mind)
I go to school at the University of Vermont (Go Cats Go!) and am completing
my Junior year!! whoo hoo..which is crazy ...i have no idea where the hell the time went. Woo Hoo..i got me a scholarship
to study in England! :) Go ME! I'm currently studying at the University of Kent at Canterbury. It's so amazing
here. I've met so many cool and interesting people that i know i will keep intouch with for the rest of my life.
England is just such a great break from my everyday life in the USA. I suggest everyone think about studying abroad
for a year because you don't know what you're missing. I love just going to the pub and having a pint with my awesome
friends. Many good times are still to come.
I'm doing design and layout with my friend Fliss on the Film Society magazine here called BIG LENS.
Charlie is our "boss". He's pretty kick ass!!! Fun stuff :)
Lately, I've been into cartoons...mainly graphic novels (NO...NOT PORN NOVELS)..stuff like Jhonen
Vasquez's Johnny The Homicidal Maniac, Squee..and Roman Dirge's Lenore, Road to Perdition is also awesome...Jhonen Vasquez
is also the creator of Invader Zim..awesome cartoon..too bad it's been cancelled (i have ALL the episodes though mwahhh hahahah)
GIR is my favorite character on that show.. ~I love that show~
I love hockey..my favorite team are the Detroit Red Wings and in 2nd place are the Philidelphia Flyers
(I love Simon Gagne)..the Islanders are starting to rule though
Heavy Metal is my love...My favorite bands are Fear Factory,VAST, Filter, Sigur Ros, Fischerspooner Ozzy,
Pantera, Godsmack, Mudvayne, Zakk Wylde's Black Label Society, Disturbed, Staind, KoRn,Underworld, Type O Negative, Nothingface,
TooL, A Perfect Circle, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden etc...You get the picture :)
I love faeries! (If you couldn't already tell from my tattoo!) Amy Brown and Brian Froud are
the only people i know so far, but i am expanding my horizon. I also love Lord of the Rings fantasy art. Some
of the images these people make are amazingly beautiful.
